After a journey to acquire a small X-Ceptor landed her in the grasp of the Empire due to 'political' affairs, the young Coruscanti Kal - first of the Atheros name for unknown reasons - found herself wound up in a sequence of events that led her to enrolling into the Imperial Academy. Although she had first been taken to the heart of Imperial Territory instead of being dropped off back on Coruscant as she had first believed she would be, arrangements were being made to get the child home safely via other means. It is unclear whether the intentions of the Empire were indeed 'genuine' but Kal found herself amazed at the sight that befell her and as such refused to step aboard the shuttle bound for Coruscant, instead returning to the officers that had brought her to the city and offered her services to the Empire itself.

Bio

Kal had always known about her family's history, and her mother had seen to it that the child was well-informed about all sides of the spectrum, from the great Galactic Empire to the not so favourable New Republic, as well as numerous other political and diplomatic stances that were either held in highest regard of the Empire, or in the firing line for their great Star Destroyers to wipe from existence. As well as this, the child was aware of the Force and all that it had to offer if it was to be her destiny to be Sensitive, but her mother raised Kal to be open-minded of both sides and taught her that one day she would reach a point in her journey where she would have to take the left or right fork in the path, and that neither would be the wrong choice. As long as she was careful about who she trusted and who she opened up to, she would obtain the skills to survive.

Devotion to Family

Although Aiya chose to raise her daughter in a more relaxed environment, mostly due to the fact that her family had fled to Coruscant which was held by the Galactic Empire to live out their days in peace and to avoid further conflict after the numerous wars and battles between the Empire and the Republic, the Jedi Order and the Sith Order and so on, there were still times when the inner Jedi emerged but rather than the attention being drawn towards Aiya, it was her husband San that would later suffer; it was believed that she had known something bad was on the horizon and had sent her daughter to the market to gather what she knew would take some time to find. Several items were things Kal had never even heard of so if anything was to happen she would out of harms way. It was just unfortunate that the young girl had succeeded with the errands and was very close to home when she'd spotted the attack, ending with her father being dragged away in cuffs and her mother, fighting to defend her home and husband, wounded by a barrage of blaster shots.

Seeking shelter until the vessel had departed, Kal hurried to her mother's side but her injuries had been too extensive and she had slipped away just moments before the girl had reached her side. With her father in custody and her mother dead, the girl used her initiative and packed a small number of supplies whilst rummaging through her mother's belongings to find the message she had left her, guiding her to Chagri where she would meet with Tal Dorn, leader of The Ashla Covenant, acquire a fighter known as the X-Ceptor Ugly and begin the two day journey back to Coruscant.

Interception

By the time she had returned to the system of Coruscant, and being only a few hours from her home on Tanjay, she was exhausted and broken, her hand lifting up to the beautiful handcrafted amulet dangling around her neck bearing the symbol of the Jedi; it had been a gift from her mother and the only trinket she had to her name of any real value. The realization that she no longer had family was creeping up on her and she had fears of how she would survive with only a few thousand credits to her name, but mid-thought with tears in her eyes she was alerted to an incoming hail from a much larger ship than the small one-man fighter she was on. Quickly drying her eyes and composing herself she accepted the hail, activating the connection and showing herself to those on the other end. In only a short space of time a negotiation was put in place; Kal would surrender her ship to the Galactic Empire and board the Star Destroyer where she would be questioned and released safely back home. However, little did she know it was not to be that way as she found herself walking down the ramp escorted by an officer to an unfamiliar yet welcoming sight. This city had skyscrapers as far as the eye could see, vehicles she had never seen before, and a number of ships lined up being boarded by young Imperials. After being informed that a shuttle was waiting to take her home by her escort, Kal started her walk towards the starport but came to an abrupt stop and looked up at the female at her side. After submitting an application form she was sent on her way to the starport, this time being taken to the location of the Imperial Academy where, as she exited the vessel she was greeted by yet another Imperial who had assigned most of the other young recruits to groups of two or three, with the exception of her, as was probably expected being a spur of the moment initiate.

Imperial Service

Jumpy, nervous and withdrawn from socialising, Kal made it her top priority to do well in the Academy and spent many hours between her Training Officer's office and her dorm, surpassing her very own expectations in the first section of her Basic Training which left her proudly looking down at her final score of 99.33%. There had been times after her mother's death when she felt a warmth surrounding her as though her mother was letting her know she was with her but on this day, with her pride bursting at the seams there was nothing, only a chill running deep within her core. Had her mother foresaken her because she had done so well at Imperial Basic Training, or did she now feel her daughter no longer needed guidance? Kal had hoped it was the latter but as she began preparing for the second stage of her training which included piloting and becoming a temporary commander of two stormtroopers for a patrol of a city not too far away, Kal's thoughts drifted back to her father and those involved in his arrest, curious to find out if he was still alive but lacking the courage to ask an Imperial if they had recently been involved with the arrest of a Jedi from Coruscant.

First Love

It goes without saying that Kal was a girl who found love in the most unusual of places. To find herself encountering someone of a humanoid race but with, what she could only describe as, 'cultural' differences and almost immediately finding her time away from him being lonely, isolated. For the first time in her life since escaping Coruscant and stepping into the shoes of an Imperial, Kal believed that the void was slowly fading from her heart. Although the Empire do not yet know of her relationship with the Anzati, seeing that she is currently unsure what the political stance was between them, the Coruscanti female spends most of her free time with her beloved and his family and it is believed that marriage could very well be on the cards for the happy couple - if the family can control themselves enough not to eat her first.
