Rexx Nestor (born Year 3 Day 23) is a Kiffar, born and raised in Corellia and joined Imperial service on Year 23 Day 27.
Character History
Family
Rexx was born in Corelia on Year 3 Day 23 in an Imperial public hospital to parents Quinn and Aisha Nestor who were originally from Kiffu. His parents were owners of a small transport agency, carrying goods (particularly bacta) and sentients across the Rimma Trade Route. A relatively small operation, Nestor Logistics owned a fleet of 18 small and mid-size freighters all managed out of Corellia. Rexx's father Quinn decided to leave Kiffu with a run-down freighter that his father had bought from a smuggler and slowly built his business up, benefitting from a number of military contracts issued by the rising Galactic Empire. A staunch follower of pro-Human policies and the New Order ideology, Quinn was able to find a niche for his business as a humans-only operation, clawing marketshare from the Herglics that dominated the trade historically. Rexx's mother Aisha was a talented navigator that calculated a number of micro-jump routes all over the hyperlane, supporting his husband's business' growth and prosperity.
Early life
While by no means wealthy, Nestor family did enjoy a comfortable lifestyle during Rexx's childhood. In addition to their main home in Coronet City, Nestors also had a holiday home on the Gold Beaches and spent quite a bit of time travelling on their luxury yacht to off-world vacations. Rexx received a practical education, focusing on piloting and economics, from a very young age and enjoyed travels all through Core to the Inner Rim, experiencing different cultures via his travels. Until the age of 10, Rexx remained outside of the standard curriculum, trained by tutors and his parents and learning by experimentation. When he was 10, Rexx were registered to the Corellia Military Academy, where his many hours of piloting simulations were joined with theoretical and philosophical studies of the art of war. This was combined by rigourous physical training and an extensive focus on etiquette and discipline, to prepare the future officer cadres. Unlike many of his classmates who were Corellian nationalists with an eye to join Corsec after graduation, Rexx's dream was to join the Galactic Empire. From his father's dealings with them, Rexx has always been impressed by the demeanour and intellect of the Imperial officers and like his father he supported the Imperial ideology with a zealous faith. After graduating from the CMA with honours, Rexx signed up to the Imperial service in Corellia and headed to Prakith to start his training in the Imperial Academy to start his training.
