Bo Solus was born on the planet Corellia where he grew up in a lower middle class family. His mother was a teacher in an elementary school while his father was a farmer and craftsman. Bo grew up with an unsationable curiosity of the world around him and would play on the farm as a young child. It was in his youth that he shot his first blaster on the farm with his parents, something he needed to know on their remote farm in case he ever needed to defend the livestock or the family. It was growing up on the farm that he learned many early life skills that would shape his work ethic and drive to grow.

Being studious in school and having the drive to move beyond his rural upbringing, Bo entered into a youth academy for high achieving students that was designed to teach rural youth technical skills in a more advanced setting. It was in this secondary school that his interest in space took off. For the first time in his life, he was behind the cockpit of a ship and flying through the clouds of Corellia. The thrill of zipping through the clouds set into the very fiber of his being and he knew that very moment that he had to experience the feeling of flying through space. Bo took it upon himself to study his hardest and graduated from secondary school with top merits before applying to his first real job at a local shipyard.

His early career would see him working in the research division of a local shipyard on Corellia where he originally worked in ship repairs. The company had a training program in place to train starship technicians to repair craft. Through this program he was able to get his first experiences piloting craft into space that he had long yearned for. A part of the repair process was to take ships on a test flight post repair. This led to Bo being able to fly a variety of craft and gain experience in piloting and weapon systems. His time working on starships and vehicles was fun and he learned much from his time there, but Bo desired a more structure and ordered career and decided to enlist in the Corellian Planetary Defense Force. Enlisting in the Corellian PDF, Bo saw mostly peacekeeping operations and operated in emergency relief operations. There was a few instances in which Bo’s unit was deployed against heavily organized crime in which he saw engagement, but for the most part he found himself leading and organizing squads in disaster zones. His service in the PDF taught him the basics of leadership and how to think quickly on his feet. While he was proud of his time in the PDF, he felt a calling to something greater. One night he had a profound dream that made him immediately apply to the Imperial Academy. While he cannot make out all of the details of his dream, he remembers seeing himself in flashes, wearing clothes with Imperial emblems. He saw himself on the battlefield firing away at the enemy, he same himself in the cockpit of a fighter, at the helm of a bridge, and in one flash holding a lightsaber with lighting arcing through his fingertips. He awoke drenched in sweat, and felt profoundly that he had a vision of his future. That day he spoke to his superiors and began the process of leaving the PDF and joining the Empire.

Bo Solus enlisted in the Imperial Academy where he excelled in his studies achieving a cumulate grade of 96%. Bo was fond of his time in the academy where he met other recruits who he would serve the Empire alongside. In his time there he was assigned to the Training Officer Kara DuMonte who guided him in his studies. After completion of his program in the Academy, Bo went on the apply to the Imperial Navy.
