The Tapani Sector is on the Southern tip of the Galactic Core. Consisting of 11 sectors and 41 systems, of which the Empire directly owns and controls 5 sectors with 24 systems. The remaining sectors and systems are owned and controlled by various groups. This makes the security and administration of the sector a very important task.

History

Year 12 Day 303 saw the Galactic Empire's expansion into the Tapani Sector. Seizing control of the Tapani Sector and establishing Imperial rule, the Empire unified the systems that were once lawless creating a unified sector. Seizing control of the homeworlds of the Thyferran and the Vratix, the Empire solidified it's rule over the sector.

At the beginning of Year 15 an Imperial Survey team was dispatched to Herglic Space. Once the survey team began operations, they immediately discoved a new system. The Whelori system. This new system was declared new Imperial territory and therefore folded into the Tapani Sector under the rule of the Empire.

Economy

The Tapani Sector has seen an increase in development over the past couple of years. Since the Empire has attained control, the sector has seen a steady growth of investers from all over the galaxy investing in the construction of new commerce centers. With the governance and rule of law by the Empire, and the Imperial Navy and Army patrolling it's borders, a lot of experts forsee the Tapani Sector to become the most prosperous sector within Imperial control.

Culture

As most sectors in the galaxy the culture among the systems and even the planets differ. The Tapani Sector is no different. However, among the many cultures that exist is that of the Thyferrans and the Vratix. The Humanoid insects, know as the Vratix were the first to discover the formulation of bacta by combining alazhi and kavam. This little creation would eventually be used all across the galaxy in medical applications.

The Thyferrans have contributed greatly to the culture of the Tapani Sector. As natural businessmen they saw an opportunity to exploit the market for the need of bacta. This financial windfall allowed the sector to develop and create many beneficial programs.
