Introduction

Simon Meers was born on coruscant Y-11 D 232. He grew up while the Old Republic lived, but was not mature enough to remember much until the dawn of the Galactic Empire. Only recently, Y10 D65, did he join them. Simon studied in the academy under Viktor Hannawald, a teacher he admired and respected a great deal. He moved on to the Navy and continues to be there. His other accomplishments are: Membership into Imperial Geographic, High Piloting Marks, and many others!

Childhood

As a young child, Simon was very adventurous. He grew up during the last decade of the Old Republic, before the Empire was born. Being born only eleven years before a dramatic shift in galactic power, Simon could be considered the first true Imperial generation. He has very little memories of life before the Empire, as most solid memories begin at the age of twelve or so.

After the New Order

With the rise of the Empire came the rise of Simon's maturity. Together they grew, and Simon saw this new order as a better way of life than his fuzzy memories of times past. In the later teen years, as Simon became more aware, he became increasingly interested in the Galactic Empire. He had lived on Coruscant his whole life, witnessing the birth and success of the Empire.

The Academy

At the age of twenty, just out of his teen years, Simon came to the Imperial Academy on Coruscant to apply. He was sure he would do well, having been around the Empire so long.

The Professor

After his application to the academy was accepted, Simon was assigned to professor Viktor Hannawald. Simon was eager to begin his lessons and went to Hannawald's office as soon as he was allowed. He was surprised to get a teacher from the Army, having always dreamed of flying TIE Bombers since he first saw them.

The Exams

The first half of the exams were easy for Simon, giving him confidence in his ability to excel. He moved on, passing the rest of his exams, acing many. It did not take long to reach graduation because of the haste that he studied and took the exams with.

Graduation

At graduation, Simon was very proud. It meant he could finally enter the navy of the Great Empire. His parents were present, looking proud of their son. Simon was presented with the Imperial Badge of Graduation by his professor, making him an official graduate of the Imperial Academy.

Entrance into Navy Service

Immeadiatly after graduation, Simon went into the Navy as a fighter pilot. He was very enthusiastic about starting his service. His superiors in his new assignment were very kind and accepted him easily.

Other Services

Besides his regular duties, Simon also takes on Imperial Geographic. He is a member there, editing literature written by other Imperials for public release. Simon also has a very high piloting test score, making him valuable to any navy.
