Early Life

Born Nyuli'avek, in the subterrainean city of Kala'uun, on the planet Ryloth 27 standard years ago.

Shemus Hardisty, was born to a grateful and proud father(Angrie'avek), and to a mother(Vantari'avek) who wanted nothing more to do with the child then to ensure she was kept busy with daily chores and errands to keep her away and busy. Until Shemus' father joined with the spirits when she was the tender age of about ten, Her mother had her sold to pirate black market slavers who payed a pretty penny for the young Twi'lek. Her Slavers, A surprisingly heavyset Mandalore, and a sickly looking brown Trandoshan, took her from her mother and left her homeplanet. Little did she know that she would return years later. As a sick sign of ownership, and to keep anyone else who saw Shemus from talking or becoming curious about her, they dyed her beautiful charcoal grey skin with stripes and marking mocking the style of sith tribal tattoos, aswell as branding her with her new slave name "Shemus Hardisty", to leave her with no connection with the live she once knew. The markings not only kept people away when they were on different planets, but subjected the girl at a young age to emotional, and mental abuse from the sentient beings of each planet they landed upon. As years went on, it became that if it was the abuse from the strangers, it was the pyshical abuse from her Slavers. To the extent on one occasion at the age of 17, she questioned the requests of her Slavers, angering the Mandalore to the point of grabbing her "Lekku's" and constricting them till she black out, and threw her against the cold walls of their freighter. 6 months after she had become 19, the Slaver's freighter that Shemus had called home for so long, had been disabled and practically destroyed by a rebel blockade. The two Slaver's had fallen asleep at the helm, and didn't witness themselves cruising right towards the blockaded planet of Korriban. As the useless craft entered the planet's atmosphere, the Slaver's were cooked in their sleep by the heat of entery. Thrown around harshly, and a broken leg is all that Shemus suffered from the crash landing.

Now free from the creatures she had spent the better part of her younger years with, Shemus ventured into the unknown wastelands of the Sith planet of Korriban. Several years of solitary, yet peaceful freedom in what she fashioned as a living space out in a cave somewhere in the many rock and mountain formations on the planet. Emerging at the age of 23, the quiet, cautious, but aggressively protective Twi'lek took a local trade freighter from the starport on Korriban leaving the Sith planet. Having adapted to the harsh conditions of the planet, aswell as her deep routed self-conciousness of herself, She kept her Lekku pulled back, usually under a hood of a dark, deep purple robe. Which also served well for hiding her markings, a constant reminder of her past. Her course eventually took her to the planet of Kuat, in the Core Worlds. Keeping to the shadows for the next several years in Kuat City, an ad one day caught her eye as she was quickly passing a GNS podium. An oppertunity had presented itself to Nyuli'avek. A way to start anew, with no connections to her past she could become anything with the power faction, The Galactic Empire. Applying on the date, Yr11D324 aswell as getting accepted not only several hours later that day, Shemus would use her slave name to make a name for herself in the Galaxy. Pouring herself into her extensive Imperial Academy Training that she received through IBS-secured holonet holograms, she graduated under Junior Training Officer, PSUPT Skyron Cyneran on the date of Yr11D330. Also being awarded the Imperial Academy Basic Graduate(IABG) Award, and promoted into the Imperial Army.
