Biography

Early Years

Raxel was born on Kiffu to a small tribe in the mountains of the planet, a baby of seemingly little consequence to anyone. His mother was a native of the planet and a familiar face in the tribe, though his father remains unknown to him. Apparently a stranger to the planet and its people, he disappeared as quickly as he had arrived, only here for his investigation and leaving Raxel's mother, Telya, with child and without support. She attempted to raise the boy amongst the tribe for a couple of years, handling her baby and her duties to others in her family well for this short time. According to what she would later tell her son, she was cast from the tribe for what seemed to her to be unfair reasons, though she would never explain what those were or any context of the situation. All Raxel knew is that not long after her expulsion from all that she held dear, his mother took him and boarded a freighter pilot's ship for a trip to Coruscant, with scrounged together credits.

Both Telya and her son's quality of life took a downturn quickly after their arrival on Coruscant. Forced to live on one of its many lower levels, she got by on what credits she could make washing dishes, sweeping or doing other manual labour jobs due to her lack of schooling and practical skills in this new environment. Raxel grew up mainly taking care of himself at home, without any kind of father figure and a mother who was often away. Unsurprisingly, the young boy eventually turned to young men living near him for support and companionship. He found himself in a gang lifestyle from an early age, fitting in well without ever had a Qukuuf adorning his body, his mother having hers removed from her face not long after their arrival along with the changing of her name.

When not taking part in various illicit activities that he was at least smart enough not to get caught doing, Raxel attempted to support his mother whose health had begun to steadily decline. He did this until she was finally unable to work and to his surprise, along with running the small business Telya had previously worked for, her employer, a Neimoidian named Rant Garon began caring for her health. He continued doing this until her death in Year 6, not long after Raxel had turned 18. Raxel by this point was living on his own and an adept criminal; more familiar with the ability to rob and cajole than most people were with their own homes.

His life changed again later in that same year, in a typical robbery. Not long after the break-in to the restaurant, Raxel heard yelling, a blaster shot and running from the other room. He came in, seeming like somebody who had just wandered in from the street with his mask now off. He found the same Neimoidian, Mister Garon, laying dead on the floor from a single blaster shot, his adopted daughter crying over him and his friends nowhere to be found. Without a second thought Raxel fled the scene, getting away with the robbery, but not without consequences. The guilt tore at him and without any motivation to continue his life like he was and his so called family leaving him as soon as they could, he took a more legitimate form of employment.

Adulthood and Imperial Service

A lean, fit man and with quick reflexes to boot, it was rather easy for the young Varos to find a job in one of Coruscant's many large security firms. He eventually began working more as a freelancer, spending small time as a private eye, a security advisor and even a bounty hunter. Eventually he settled down into one of the easier jobs, in the security force of a large Corporation on one of Coruscant's higher levels. Still having never left the planet or been influenced by other governments, he was a believer in the Empire's ways, though held a slight soft spot for the Neimoidian people that he could not shake. His conscience still clawed at him, and much of his wages went to Garon's daughter, now living on her own and unaware of who the anonymous packages kept coming from. Eventually, he worked up the courage to meet her, to talk about what her father had done for him rather than mention his untimely death. He was surprised to find nobody home, figuring out from the cleaner that she had moved out a week earlier, went off-world and nobody had any clue as to where she went.

Feeling little obligation to Coruscant now and more of a desire to leave it than ever, he followed many of his friends and other people he'd seen into a new career choice; Imperial service. He now had 10 years of experience in various forms of security and protection as well as leading Security teams when it was necessary. Though many of his former workmates and friends had enlisted in the Imperial Navy, he put all of his efforts with what schooling he had and raw intelligence he possessed to apply to the Imperial Academy, for an Army Officer's course. Making few friends in the Academy outside of those he knew on the Boloball team, of which he was an avid player,he passed to a satisfactory level. He felt a sense of accomplishment like never before as he was assigned as a Second Lieutenant, ready to perform his duty to the fullest extent. He has since been assigned to peacekeeping operations, commanding Stormtroopers in tasks regarding dangerous wildlife along with bandit and/or insurgent groups.

Characteristics

Personality

Raxel, not being as young as many of the other recruits at the Academy or those in his position as a lower ranked field officer, is often attributed as having less vigor than they. In truth, Varos simply has a more methodical and calm approach to matters thanks to years of planning from being one of the few intelligent people in a gang to a leader within security forces. Rarely does he do something without making a plan or contingency regarding it first, which sometimes is more of a bad habit than good. However, this has given him notable tactical aptitude and a keen interest in getting to know others. He comes across often as rather approachable, friendly and hard-working, though once he is focused on a task, he finds it hard to diverge from it.

Physical Appearance

Varos stands at approximately five foot eleven in Galactic Standard Measurement; he shaves his head regularly, leaving it devoid of any hair whether on the top of his head or chin. Being someone that is often in uniform, it has so far been hard to find documented pictures of him that don't involve him wearing a helmet of some sort outside of his Academy files; however, he displays typical Kiffar facial structure and rather notably different bright blue eyes. Due to his mother's own dark brown eyes, it seems possible that this is an aspect from his estranged father.
