Early Life

Max Corrino was born in the year -7, day 316 on the remote outer-rim desert planet of Tatooine. Until he was 18, Max lived in his families home in Mos Eisley, a small crime ridden space port controlled by thugs, gangsters and corrupt politicians, with his mother, father and younger brother. The family owned a shop selling everything from food to capital ship hyperdrives. This caused Max to have an interest in space as a young child as he would study all of the different parts for hours on end. His brother on the other hand never showed any interest in all of that stuff, he preferred to be out shooting small animals with their fathers blaster rifle. Apart from helping out in the shop on the odd occasion, Max never had any real job until he was older.

Start of something new

On his 18 birthday, Max had had enough with Tatooine and all of the disappointments it brought, so he gather up all his belongings, went to a transport shuttle, and got on it with out a care in the world. The ship he boarded was heading for Naboo, which he didn't know much about apart from that it was meant to be beautiful will rolling hills and giant grassland areas. The trip wasn't as long as Max had thought it would have been, but it was still long compared to the 5 minute journeys he had to make on Tatooine.

When the shuttle landed in the capital city Theed, Max disembarked and walked around. His main aim was to find somewhere to sleep, and if possible a job by the end of the day. As he walked round, Max asked in all the shops he could get a job, but sadly they all rejected him. He was about to give up his hunt for a job and get back on the shuttle, but then he saw a recruitment poster for the Naboo Security Force. He studied it and found out where he had to go, and off he went to the HQ near the royal palace. To get into the building Max had to go up stairs, and then walk through a grand entrance guarded by what looked like Naboo royal guards. Inside he found out about the job and then signed up. He had to go through an interview process but that didn't take long. By the time the sun was setting had a job, and was on his way to undertake training.

Training in the Naboo Security Force

To be apart of the Naboo Security Force Max had to undergo some training to ensure he knew everything that he had to do. Part of the training included rifle drills, survival skills, and vehicle piloting. Apart from that there wasn't much else that had to be done to pass training as the force didn't have much to do apart from protect important people or police the lands.

Uneventful Start

For the first few months of Max's career in the Naboo Security force nothing really happened. For the majority of his time he was either participating in parades, guarding the palace, or policing the city. Even whilst he was policing the city nothing really big happened. There was the odd speeder chase, and occasionally there would be robberies which was the only fun part about the job, especially going full speed on a speeder through miles of open grassland.

An exciting adventure

After a very uneventful start to his career, Max finally got to do something exciting. He was going to the far side of the planet to investigate reports of rebels, and take them out. There were a total of 110 men going on the journey, all with their own roles and responsibilities. Some were medics, some logistical engineers, and one or two were officers, but the majority of the force was made up of rifle men and NCO's. Max was one of the three officers in the group, and he was in charge of the soldiers. The other junior officer was in charge of logistics and making sure the medics had everything they needed. The third officer in the group was a senior officer who had seen many battles in his life time, and he was in charge of the whole unit and everyone in it.

After a day of getting everything ready and loaded into the vehicles, the force was ready to roll out of Theed into the country side

Joining the Empire

The shuttle Max travelled on to the Imperial academy

The Imperial Academy

There are many Imperial academy's situated all over the galaxy. There were the first stop on an Imperials career in the Empire, as everyone who wanted to join one of the many branches of the empire had to attend an academy first to receive the training required for their desired job. Max Corrino attended the Imperial academy on Prakith, and learnt many useful lessons there that would help him in his future career in the Imperial Navy.

Arriving at the Academy

The academy was not a single building, there were dozens of interconnected buildings, some old some new, With here and there open air gardens and hundreds of people everywhere. Most seemed to be in a hurry to get to their destination, but some were just waiting around for something. Max approached the main desk where a man in an Imperial uniform. "state your business here" the officer said looking up from his data pad. "I was told to come here by the recruitment officer on Tatooine. He said I was accepted to the Imperial academy and that my training would start as soon as I got here." "Name" the officer said in a stern voice. "Max Corrino". "ah yes, Mr. Corrino, I remember hearing about you. You are to report to the assistant deans office immediately". The officer pointed down a long hall way as he said it. Max picked up his bag and walked down the hall way. After getting lost Max stopped and looked around for a second, then a man steps up behind him, a cup of coffee in one hand and a box of papers in the other. "what are you looking for?" he said in an inviting voice. "the office of the assistant dean". Max replied. “Office of Assistant Dean Gauge you say, I know where it is, follow me its on my way.”

Max followed him down several passages and then the man stopped in front of a door, “Here's the office” he said pointing at the door. Max thanked the man and knocked on the door. "Come in" a voice replied from inside the office. Max walked in, spoke to the officer for twenty minutes, before taking a data pad from the officer, and leaving the room.

Accommodation at the Academy

The rooms for recruits at the academy were usually big dormitories with rows of bunk beds, and rooms coming off the side for studying and other activities. At best a new recruit would be in a tree person room. When Max arrived at his room he was expecting one of these two, but when he opened the room to his surprise it was a single room. There was one bed with crisp whit sheets against the left wall, and two pillows onto of it. Against the adjacent wall was a desk and a chair with a lamp and stationary set on it. There was also a wardrobe in one of the corners. Inside there were 3 sets of grey Imperial uniform, all with the grey recruit rank badge pinned to the left chest. There was a door in the room that led to a private washroom. This room was nothing like what he had seen on Tatooine, to Max it was fit for the Emperor, but to everyone else it was just a normal room. After he finished unpacking and got familiarised with his new data pad, Max had a shower, got dressed for bed, and fell asleep. He woke up the next morning before sunrise due to his early night. After doing his morning exercise of 50 sit-ups, 30 press-ups, 100 squats, and 10 pull-ups (on the door frame of the bathroom), he had a shower, got dressed into his brand new uniform, and went to the canteen for breakfast. The canteen was a large hall with rows of tables and a buffet stand at the one end of it. The food served there was fairly simple; toast and cereal for breakfast; meat and salad for lunch; and various meals for dinner, depending on what day it is.

Training at the academy

The academy had many types of training that would help all recruits in their future career in the Empire. There was weapons training, vehicle and space craft piloting lessons, and even political lessons. Max enjoyed most of the lessons that he had to do, with only some really boring ones that he didn't like.

Weapons Training

Every member of the Empire, from the army to the regional government, had to be able to use at least a blaster to defend themselves if they were every in danger. In the academy all students are taught how to fire a blaster, and those who want to join the military side of the Empire had the opportunity to fire much larger weapons like heavy blasters, or even anti air guns. Because of max's interest with the Navy, he was given the opportunity to fire weapons that are found on Imperial ships. One of the weapons he had training on was the Empire Turbo laser, which was used widely in across all of the Imperial fleets.

Political Training

During his time in the academy, Max had to attend lessons about the political sides of the galaxy, and the Empires relation ships with all of the other factions and governments. These lessons were by far Max's least favourite lessons because he would rather be out flying or shooting, than cooped up in a small classroom learning things that he found irrelevant for the position that he wanted to be in (Imperial Navy).

Academic Lessons

In the academy cadets had to go to lessons to learn extended maths. Max enjoyed these lessons because on Tatooine he never went to school so he was learning something new. He also had to learn how to speak and write properly as the Imperial Navy is very official and as Max was from Tatooine, he couldn't write, read, or speak professionally.

Flying Lessons

Max got to learn how to fly many different types of space craft whilst in the academy. One of these ships was a Lambda class shuttle. He got to experience sub light travel and hyperspace travel, and in final week of being in the academy he completed a few solo lights which he thought was the best experience he ever had.

Graduating the Academy

Before graduating the academy, Max had to take the final test. He felt nervous about taking the test because this would determine whether he continued his career in the Empire, or if he would go back to Tatooine. He did the exam and felt very confident with himself, although he wouldn't know the results until his graduation day. On year 20 day 4, Max graduated from the Imperial academy with a score of 92.46%.First

Personal Possessions

As Max was from a very poor family he had very little money growing up. It was only after he joined the Galactic Empire that he could afford to buy anything other than basic supplies. His most prized possession is his YT-1300, which he bought to drive around in whenever he has time off.
