Sergeant Faison Ka`Marick is an enlisted soldier in the Imperial Army. Born on Kur, located in the Outer Rim, he grew up in the southern polar region, making himself very accustomed to the extreme climates. Originally being schooled in nuclear engineering to work in one of the thermal facilities that power much of the planet, he was approached by an Imperial Recruiter before graduating. Seeing it as a more beneficial avenue, he finished his degree before being enrolled into the Imperial Academy. Enlisting into the Galactic Empire on Year 12, Day 320, he completed his recruitment under Junior Administrator Petermind and began his journey.

Trivia

• The name "Faison" is derived from the novel Halo: The Cole Protocol. Major Faison, one of the ODST's in the book, was a company commander and expressed as "an insane marine". "Ka`Marick" on the other hand, is completely made up, and was thought of before the character "Galen Marek" was introduced in The Force Unleashed.
• Faison's IC/OOC history shares about two years with the Mando'ade at the start of joining the Combine. However, rather than implement this into the character's story, it has been omitted since joining the Empire and instead covered over with a more basic RP back story. Dates remain vague though in the early character history, in case of reimplementation.
• Cycling through several avatars for the few years Faison has been in the Combine, the majority of them were either masked or helmeted in some way. There had been only two major uses of identification. It first started with Sam Worthington, briefly used after watching the movie Avatar. However, it was quickly changed to Ryan Reynolds, after then seeing the movie The Proposal.
• The in character parents created for Faison, Alaric and Katrina, are both taken from the Battletech universe, often referred to as Mechwarrior. "Alaric" was a Star Colonel for the Wolves, and described as an arrogant man, despite being very cunning and intelligent. "Katrina" was separated from the book's original character, Katrina Steiner, while "Kerensky" was taken from "Anastasia Kerensky", an up and coming leader in a mercenary group, the Wolf Hunters.
• Despite having spawned on Corellia, Faison (after much extensive searching), is portrayed to have been born on Kur. Though still being roleplayed as a Corellian, the planet Kur had a much more unique and rich history. The majority of the planet was also covered in ice caps from pole to pole, a required key to wanting to RP as an iceworlder. This was inspired by the 597th Valhallan Imperial Guard, which were first featured in the novel series Ciaphas Cain, taking place in the Warhammer 40k universe.
