The Corellian Sector is one of the six major Imperial Sectors, known mainly for it's booming shipbuilding industry and its infamously adventurous population. Seen to many, both inside and out of the Empire's borders, as the economic heart of the Empire, embodying the business-like and daring nature of the Corellians.

Government

The Government of the Sector is carried out by the Imperial Regional Government, specifically under the High Moff Niven Scherbankov and his staff. The Regional Government's duties in the Sectors include the continued development of the Sector's urban and industrial centers, to promote economic growth, to manage the Sector's many worlds and to develop newly discovered worlds within the Sector's jurisdiction, and the establishment of Imperial authority throughout the Sector's vast territory. The Sector's capital is located in Corellia in the capital city of New Coronet.

Planetary Government

The planets within the Sector are many in number and given the right to organize their own planetary governments as long as they are compliant with Imperial Law, maintain their productivity, and (of course) recognize the superior authority of the Imperial Regional Government. The Corellians, being fiercely fiercely independent, have established a trend of having generally democratic planetary governments, though in some planets feature largely authoritarian governments.

Military

The defense of the Corellian Sector is carried out by the Imperial Army and the Imperial Navy, namely by the 3rd Imperial Legion and 3rd Imperial Fleet respectively. The overall commanding officer of Imperial military forces in the Corellian Sector is the Sector's Moff, High Moff Niven Scherbankov who coordinates the efforts of Government and Military forces in the Sector. Among the military's many duties in the Sector are the protection of the Sector's many systems and worlds from enemy attack, the maintaining of garrisons in strategic locations, the continued exploration of Imperial territory, the enforcement of Imperial law within the Sector, and the constant vigilance expected, and received, from all members of the Imperial Military. Thanks to the determined efforts of the Imperial military in the Corellian Sector, the crime, smuggling, and piracy that had once fervently plagued Corellia, has declined sharply. The Legion, known throughout the galaxy as "the Shadowguards", is commanded by Brigadier General Edward Canfield, is so named for having proven it's prowess in battle time and time again. The Fleet, commanded by Vice Admiral Faol Sean, is known for it's steadfast dedication to its duty and famous for having had many famous Imperials serve within it's ranks, and for having almost single-handedly shutdown piracy in Corellian space.

Industry

The Corellian Sector is famous for its strong, and rapidly expanding, industry that has attracted investors, workers, and consumers from across the galaxy. Corellia is one of the Empire's greatest hubs of commerce and industry, namely the Shipbuilding industry that is led by the Corellian Engineering Corporation, whose headquarters and one of its many hubs is located in Corellia, has contributed significantly to the Corellian economy providing a vast variety of jobs for the Corellian populace enabling the tremendous economic boom that Corellia has been experiencing. Led by Deputy Director Otto Mustard, the CEC has continued its long tradition of excellence and of its great service to the Empire as one of the galaxy's premier shipwrights. Though Corellia is home to various major corporations, Corellia is also known for it's own variety of small business and traditional industries. The most famous being the production of the infamous Corellian Whiskey, which is held dear to the Corellians as one of their most prized treasures.

ISB

Though no-one knows exactly how many arrests the Imperial Security Bureau has made in the Corellian Sector has made, the rumours are both many and awe-inspiring. Due to the highly enigmatic nature of the famous Bureau, many of Corellia's inhabitants are both fearful and reverent to the powers and duties of the Bureau in the Sector, especially of the Sector's famous ISB-Liason (and the Deputy Director of ISB) Zhaff Orikan who has bravely leads the Bureau's activities in the Sector. The Bureau maintains it's Sector headquarters in Corellia, where the offices of the Deputy Director is located. Due to the diligent and highly professional actions of ISB's operatives in the Sector, criminal activity has sharply declined to near non-existent levels and Imperial Law is actively upheld and enforced.
