Life in Kashyyyk

Chrell was born in his homeworld of Kashyyyk, in the year -196. His early years were spent in his small village, living a peaceful Wookiee life in a Wookiee world. At the early age of 47, he encountered sentinents from different races for the first time in his life.

It was on a shopping trip he made with his father, both willing to know the new commercial post set up by some merchants of the New Republic quite near of the village. Soon after, small groups of smugglers, space pirates and some other sorts of the worst kind settled down in the surroundings of the commercial post, and the harmonious life which the Wookiees had known for countless generations, came to an end.

The different groups started to fight each other in the search of supremacy in the underworld. What it had begun as a fight for local power, began to spread itself into a total war to control the whole planet of Kashyyyk. The Wookiees, known for their immerse strength and superior fighting skills, readied to fight and defend their home. A guerrilla war began between the smugglers, unified under the hate for the Wookiees, and the Wookiees themselves. Many of them paid a high price, to get their peaceble homes back. Chrell´s family was not left untouched. Both his father and mother died during a coward attack in the middle of the night. While still mourning the corpses, the warships of the New Republic started to land to restore order and peace. The Wookiees got the homeworld back, but it was too late for many of them. The New Republic never answered the call the Wookiees made asking for help, with a result of many of them dead and many families broken.

Chrell stood up, to swear himself to a life debt, decided to commit himself to the only ones who could really restore order and peace in the Galaxy, but he would prepare himself first...

Finding a way

As the YT-1300 was gaining altitude, Chrell looked at his home for the last time. His heart jumped from the sadness of leaving his past life behind, to the excitement of finding undiscoverd paths.

He first headed to the far away planet of Yunkor VII, where he learnt the ways of the human sentinents. He even joined some of them in the building of many cities. With the help of an old C3PO Protocoll Unit, he learned the human language and, for the first time, he met a few human he could call friends. He spent quite much time there. He made himself a small fortune, and he invested money in a small fleet and a lot of equipment to overcome any surprise the galaxy could come up with.

Once he found himself ready, Chrell called up quite a few of his closest friends who had stayed in Kashyyyk. He picked them up, and he got them really well equiped and prepared for the next step in his life.

The weapons were ready, the backpack full with medical items, plenty of ammo, the shining brand new armors polished and the Wookiees showing an enthusiasm they hadn´t experienced for many, many years...

Chrell winked an eye to his friends and typed the coordinates of the next destination in the Hyperspace computer. After a few days in hyperspace, they spotted Serroco. They met many dangers, they found creatures they had never been told of... but Chrell reached his goal. He became an expert with both short and long range weapons. He learnt tactics, and he promised himself never forget them. There were rumors about combats in the near future. He had learnt the how... all he needed now was the where. With firm steps he got into the ship, ascended to orbit, and headed to the Imperial Academy.
