Flight Sergent Cameron Mandell was a member of the Imperial Navy, one of a minority of Class C citizens to serve.

Biography

A simple being with grand aspirations, Cameron was orphaned soon after birth when his parents were killed when a rebel uprising broke out on his home planet.

During the uprising, Cameron's modest home was believed to be a false-front to an Imperial intelligence operation. A group of rebels infiltrated the home, slaying each of Cam's siblings and parents before his very eyes. Moments before he was to join their fate, a single Imperial sniper shot brought down the rebel and caused the group of rebels to scatter.

Mandell took the opportunity to stow away on a blockade runner. For the next 5 years, he travelled planet to planet, stowing away in similar fashion. Until he landed on Nar Shaddaa and was captured...

Having nothing, Cam (as he's more well known) spent years learning life's lessons the hard way. His days were spent running errands for local crime lords who sought the Trandoshan's muscle and resourceful knack for resolving "situations." Cameron distrusted and disliked his employers, but had very few other options.

After one particular job, Cam overheard plans to raid a secret Imperial Storage Facility. A raid that would severely cripple the Empire's ability to respond to future Rebel activity. Realizing the potential "business opportunities" that would result from the raid, the crime lord pledged his support to the Rebel operation and to their cause.

Detesting the very existence and ideals of the rebellion, because of the incidents which occurred when he was young, Cameron defiantly argued against the attack - an outburst that nearly cost him his life.

Mandell turned on his masters during the raid and defeated the large criminal squad by himself, ultimately executing the crime lord with his bare hands.

So impressed by Mandell's vigor and aptitude for battle, he was thanked personally by the responding Imperial Garrison's officer.

An offer to join the Empire's training academy soon followed the news of his heroics. Upon entering the Academy, it was soon discovered that Mandell had a knack for flying, thanks to his aggressive nature and fearless attitude. Upon graduation, he enlisted in the Imperial Navy.

Despite his unfortunate upbringing, Cam is highly loyal and believes that hard work and dedication will always give him an upper-hand over would-be competitors. He is proud to serve with the Empire and hopes to one day die with the ultimate honour during battle.

Naval Career

Cameron Mandell graduated the Imperial Academy and served in the Imperial Navy for a brief period before suffering a fatal accident while in the line of duty. During his career Cameron was known as a hard worker and a loyal servant to the Empire. His passing ended, what many perceived to be, a brilliant career.

No one was affected as deeply as his fellow Academy graduate and room mate, Chase Caulfield. Having no family upon joining the Academy, Mandell quickly sought the friendship of Caulfield, who was also away from his own family for the first time. The two bonded over coursework and the intense physical training that recruits are subject to.

When Mandell passed, he left his prized (and only) possession to Chase - his ship the Red Star.

Fatal Accident

The circumstances surrounding Cameron Mandell's death are not currently public. Considered an Imperial Navy matter. All details are classified at this time.
