That all changed when they were stripped from him by the rebels without a cause. Fighting men taking up arms because the galaxy did not fit into their diplomatic republic ideals stripped his family apart. His own Father slain by those same men pushed Brandon to enlist, and he has never looked back since.

Coming from the snow capped mountains from the Northern side of Alderaan, Brandon's features share a harsh countenance similar to most in that region. Brandon Winters arrived at the Academy with little fanfare, but took to his studies very quickly with the help of his instructor [[Kal Eysar]]. Studying diligently into the night, and working around the clock in the prestigious Imperial Library there he was able to pass all his exams and walk away with Honours. It was there that he realized his potential in the military and strategic arts, and took his first steps into the Imperial Army. Upon his graduation, he was quickly shuttled to his first assignment with his comrades in arms in his new Legion.
