"Those who are dead are usually left forgotten. But they're still around, and always will be. Whether it's in memories, or simply they still exist but you don't know it."
— Riles Cole

No longer a man of smiles and joy, but one of turmoil and destruction. Spears previous life has all but vanished from him, fading away to a stiff, cold man. Someone who's seen the worst of it all while being deployed on every single backwater planet going to one corner of the galaxy and back, and witnessing some of the most gruesome things known to beings. Even though some of his memory is wiped, while not permanently, his personality took a drastic change for the worse and Riles disappeared from within him. He's turned into a war machine, a man armed to the toes and teeth, advanced at the core, and has become apart of war. Forgotten or not, dead or alive, he's still fighting. You have to give him credit though, he's been killed twice and yet he's mysteriously still alive. Go figure why he's such a hard ass. Spirit be willed, may it rest in him in forever peace.

Personality, Traits, and Biography

Accessories

Apparel

Off-duty: During the few and little times he's seen out of his armor, he wears his fatigues. he cannot be caught in any formal dress clothing of any type, but feels that he must remain situated and ready so he can act accordingly and quickly. The fatigues he wears are urban camouflage digitized, marking him with specks of white, variations of gray, and shades of black in squared off boxes dotted a crossed his uniform. This makes him blend in easily with most surroundings, not marking him as a target to a presented enemy. This is usually under his jumpsuit, if he's wearing armor. If not -on rare occasions-, Spears wears his fatigues over his jumpsuit if he's absent from armor by being at a formal event or meeting.
Armor: Spears wears quite a unique set of armor. His Scout Trooper armor has a cover coating of personal design. While the Imperial Army has white plastoid armor, to engrave fear into their opponents, Spears does not disrespect that. However, he'd rather display himself in a more fearful fashion and fight. As far as he knows, it's the only pattern of that type of paint in the Empire currently worn by him and Task Force Dagger, marking out the group of men as individuals and different. While it may be different, it's quite favored among the special forces in the group. Even if they're all insane, psychopathic, leatherneck soldiers. The armor is white, just as similar to the standard set, but all men are required to wear pauldrons. The armor worn among the men also has a small Imperial emblem engraved into the top left side of their helmets along with a spade, a winged sword, and a skull on the back - Task Force Dagger's emblem in tints of gray and black, varying in shades to make out the shapes. The rest of the armor, torso and legs, is covered in a unique heavy black trim with some orange edging to match his kama and pauldron. Most show combat experience though; paint dulling, blaster marks, scrapes and scratches, and the occasional dent or puncture in one of the task force's members' armor.

Personal Items

Skull Balaclava: A story in itself. Beneath the helmet of a mysterious man comes yet forth another problem. Instead of an Imperial Army issued head wrap, designed to be easily fit with the body suit, Spears opted for a balaclava of his own. And a quit unique one, as it does have a skull face on it. He's never spoke of why he wears it, or why he even has it. Few, if any even saw him in such, as he appears to constantly be in a full set of his personalized Scout Trooper armor wherever he wanders. It can be guessed though that it's worn in honor of his friends, and lost allies during the war. It's also rumored that it's not to be touched, and if so, Spears would use aggressive and violent nature onto those who dare come within fingers reach as he considers it disrespect to the dead and the souls. It's his pride and joy it seems, as it is carefully administrated after and well taken care of after being worn all the time beneath his helmet. Perhaps one of his mostly guarded secrets of why he wears a mask like that.
Kama: A piece of culture in itself, and a personal item of his that's been passed down for years. It was previously worn from his deceased father, and being an only child, had taken in all possessions. It's also one of his last personal items, something that's loved closely to him. It's the color of jet black, with a orange liner along it's edges. Black standing for Justice and Orange for a lust of life, per Mandalorian armor colors. The edges themselves are hardly torn, even after it's past use, showing that it's well cared for and looked after. Being another one of Spears' most valuables, he cherishes it dearly and keeps a close eye on it as he tries to keep it into top condition.
Sergeant's Pauldron: Used to represent his rank and status within the Imperial Army, marking him as a senior NCO. The pauldron is also jet black, with a orange trim leaving it to match with his Kama as well. While it doesn't exactly fit accordingly with his Scout Trooper armor, he only wears it while in Imperial Territory such as Coruscant or Corellia during off-duty/patrolling hours. However, instead of the common three magazine pouch as seen on most Stormtrooper armor pauldrons, he instead carries a Buck Knife, a personalized holster for it. This enables easy over the chest cross-draw for quick reactions.

Personality

After the flux and flow of death for him, his mood of a sober, cheery man who probably was care-free about everything turned him to a dark, hardened, and sharp being. Many scars that are physical mark him, the two on his neck from the patrol and execution, as well as his cybernetic arm from explosive ordinance during his past life. These represent him quite well, even though they're untold puzzles just like everything else about him. He knows war, just like he knows that back of his hand. He knows that politics can screw it over, and that in order to trust you must hate. The sands of time are bloodied, and drenched in lost souls who cry in terror. He knows he's become ruthless, yet still a disciplined, organized, and well kept man - Spears proves to be deadly in his effective and accurate capabilities. How he carries out tasks are with lethal and deadly force, often acting with aggressive behavior towards enemies and anyone outside of the Empire. And even those who dare mock and/or harm Task Force Dagger in any way.

Even though now that Spears is no longer a softy, but quiet and over watching, he still has a protective fatherly love in him. Being Mandalorian, it comes as instinct. Even though he's failed to have a child of his own and raise him as a warrior, his love for anyone who deserves more than what they get or come under his protection are well guaranteed to get it. He still practices his traditions though, reciting the fallen daily as they'll never be forgotten and fathering those under his command with respect. While his Mando'a isn't fully developed, due to his father getting killed before he taught Spears everything, he is still learning on the go. He respects many though, and seems to even have a bit of a religious side to him. It hadn't shown during his previously, possibly being one of the changes in him over time just as many others did. While it's not strong faith, he certainly believes in Mandalorian customs and thinks that's what has been saving him all this time.

Still yet though, underneath the rage and revenge that boils on the surface in an awfully frighting, quiet way Cole could yet be buried deep with in him. How much and where though is unknown, as he seems to have become quite a different man. Even so, combat is what gets him really lively. During field operations or missions, Spears is known to "mouth off" or his informalities are presented. Even to officers and NCOs alike. He can be viewed as perky, curious, and a general joker during the middle of combat or an operation. Being a Scout Trooper though, it's not exactly a surprise that he's overly cocky and has a large amount of pride. While complaints may be expressed, he usually does it in a sympathetic manner/teasing way. It's the only good side of him that's seen left. Even if it is quite rude to talk of to and about officers or others in general. Apparently it has something to do with being honored by serving in an elite corps. So says Spears.

Abilities

Spears ability to handle a weapon is pretty close from second to none, being unparalleled to others. While he used to favor explosives, his tastes seem to have come towards longer range weaponry, as well as his skill levels with them. Being a Scout Trooper, he is quite adapt at using different weapon items, but is the most effective at being a designated Marksman. From a long rifle to a pistol, he can use both with deadly accuracy, something not to be messed with. He's proud of his status as a sharpshooter as well, carrying on other similar characteristics. He's highly trained in stealth, scouting, reconnaissance, search and destroy, and assassination missions. Being a man that prefers infiltration, special operations, and black ops, he is lethal at most. While there is other ranges of talents that he has good traits in, nothing comes to close to the sniper related trainings that he does.

Connections

Task Force Dagger

A personal squad made up of close friends and hardened veterans. While not official, or unofficial if at all existing, the group is just compromised of some of the best scouts in the Imperial Army. Perhaps even, the Empire. The men have become so well adapt at their duties of recon, scouting, communications, search and destroy, sniping, infiltration, and other high risk and near suicidal missions they're commonly called "Team Dagger" or "Dagger" for short, usually going by the call signs Dagger, Saber, Shortsword, Longsword, and Broadsword. Most don't know they're around, whether it'd be friendlies or not. The group is looked upon as hostile to pretty much anything outside of the Empire, acting with lethal and extremely deadly force. They're tactics, techniques, and logic behind situations is efficient and accurate.

There has been only four recorded deaths in total; Private Buck, Private First Class Checker, Private First Class Ka`Marick, and Corporal LaRone. The total number of men in the group is unknown, however it's been estimated that there are about twenty field operators, excluding command units. All the men come from different Legions within the Imperial Army, those of which are classified. Most of their prior service is unknown, but suggests military work due to their effectiveness, and consider themselves elitist.

While Spears (Riles), or any other survivors are not acting as an official Imperial group or squad, they're just commonly reflected upon Team Dagger because of their field work and combat abilities when working together. The men in the Team are all good men, and brothers to one another. Most come from Mercenary, or equal backgrounds to such before service in the Empire. Through Imperial training, they've become disciplined and hardened to the core. They're advanced in seperate trainings and rolls, tactically trained to the best, and are always trying to maintain their top performance. They're an assault task force, prepared to take on any threat or foe in the galaxy. A team of members, trained in discipline and expertise, made to survive anything used against them and the harshest of environments. They're loyal to the Empire, and the Empire along, upholding peace and order throughout planets and sectors. They're presence is threatening, throwing fear into their opponents right on sight. They're the toughest of the tough, most bad ass, and hardest trained troopers you could ever encounter. Alone, one is strong. Together, they're family. Task Force Dagger.

Past Life

Master Sergeant Riles H. Cole

His previous alias for a name, and previous life. While his personality took a whole turn-a-bout and formed into something else, he's still the same man. His memories, not yet fully complete, are coming back to him slowly. Riles could have been seen as a joyous and laid back sort of guy. While Spears can still be, he is often times now, just quiet and grumpy. It may seem all existence of Riles has been erased from Spears, there still seems to be some buried deep within him.

Private First Class Sean Rayden

Not much is known about Sean, other than that he was a member of Task Force Dagger, as well as one of the only few ever reported KIA in the unit. The loss of his life also has seemed to effect Spears that most than others for unknown reasons. He was also the communications/electronics expert in the first squad.

Corporal John William

Former comrade and yet still at his side, John has been through it all with Spears. Despite his low rank, he's a very intelligent man and a combat veteran. Specializing in close quarters combat, John is the Task Force's designated close range expert. He is highly trained in knife and martial arts forms, being especially dangerous when within close proximity. He is also one of Spears best friends and closest allies, someone he can trust.

Private First Class Grant Clarke

Nothing is known about the man, his birth place, origins, service, and whether he's still alive or not. Even so, there's been a rumor that he is attached to Task Force Dagger, whether he exists or not, no one knows. At best, it is guessed that he's a field operative, specializing in repair and engineering. Only information that is known is that Spears had made the personal recommendation himself that dragged Grant into the unit.
