Doogie Darkrose, one of the few Gand within the Galactic Empire who served in the Imperial Navy. A mysterious past, where the only events known are when his career began with the New Imperial Order. Upon the New Imperial Order and Galactic Empire reunification, Darkrose continued his naval career, this time under the more strict policies of the Galactic Empire regarding non-humanoid races.

Biography

The Beginning

Little is known of Doogie Darkrose's, where not even he is aware of his life before the New Imperial Order. Doogie has no knowledge of his age, his origin, his family, or even his name. The only thing he did know was that he could fly any ship with exceptional skill. One day, he found himself on the planet Gand, and from there found his way to the starport, where a recruitment officer for the NIO was stationed. Without any knowledge of his past, nor anything to guide him down a particular path, he enlisted and began his journey. Since he could not even remember his name, they gave him one, and so he became known as Doogie Darkrose.

New Imperial Order

After securing transportation from the Gand starport to a classsified location, Doogie began his studies at the NIO Naval Academy. His professor, now Commander Sola Tao, taught him all the policies and rules and basic flight lessons needed for a new recruit. As he continued his studies, several test flights only reaffirmed his subconscious acknowledgement of his exceptional flight skill. It wasn't long until Darkrose graduated from the academy and began his naval career as a Crewman with the NIO.

Tasked with mainly system patrols, Doogie was able to better hone his skills in the cockpit. He continued to serve well, and about three months after his graduation, Doogie witnessed history happen before his eyes; the New Imperial Order and the Galactic Empire had agreed to reunify. This brought about a great deal of questions, which were soon answered by the High Command. One of the biggest worries for Darkrose, was the fact that the Galactic Empire was known for its harsh treatment of non-humanoid species. This was soon alleviated with promise of proper treatment and permission to continue service within the military.

While all the details of the merger were still being worked out, there was an extended period of time where there were no orders to be given, and no reassignment. Darkrose continued to run system patrols as diligently as he had when his naval career first began.

Life in the Galactic Empire

After a few weeks of hearing no news at all, Doogie Darkrose was worried that he might have been forgotten amongst the ordered chaos of the reunification of the two imperial factions. But as right as he began to inquire about it, he received his new assignment within the Imperial Navy.

The only worry left in Darkrose's mind was that of his treatment. He would follow his orders to the dot. He would cross every "T" and dot every "I" in order to avoid giving any reason for anyone to harass him. To his surprise, he has yet to encounter any racial discrimination. And slowly, the feeling of paranoia and ostracism began to fade.

Personality and Traits

Doogie Darkrose stands at 1.53 meters with a slim, typical build for a Gand. His grey, bulbous eyes shine under light. Darkrose does not require a breather, since he is of the lungless type of Gand. The color of his exoskeleton ranges from a light to dark brownish-green, depending upon his physical condition. He tends to keep to himself.
