Wes Valentino is a Second Lieutenant in the Imperial Army. He enlisted to put his violent gang life behind him.

Character History

Wes was born on ___, in an alley on Socorro. His parents are unknown, and he was raised by a hired gun who took pity on him. Socorro is an anarchic planet with zero laws or government, and Wes ran with the Rust Devils gang by the age of 12. The Devils dealt all kinds of deadly contraband, and Wes sold guns and deathsticks for spare credits. The gangs' dons were vicious, and knife fights with rival gangs were a regular occurence. He spent many nights unconscious from his wounds, nursed by whoever was passing through.

Despite living like this, Wes supported the Empire's efforts to liberate Socorro. The 99th Squadron, which sent patrols there, gave Wes his first taste of Imperial stormtroopers. Other gangsters bristled at the troops, who they called "Niners": They took potshots at them and even murdered an unlucky few. Wes, though, was determined to enlist. On his 18th birthday, just as the Empire was pulling out of the system, Wes joined the Imperial Military as a Recruit.
