Jinko Blixto

Early Years

Born to a wealthy family (Year -2, Day 133, 2:33) on the planet of Thyferra, Jinko had the privilege of a stable childhood. Jinko is the youngest of 5 siblings and was born on He comes from a long line of medical professionals stemming back to the original Bacta discovery. Some call his family "Bacta Barons", usually those not as well off. From a young age Jinko showed signs towards his calling. He was often the one patching up his siblings and cousins. He was noted for once nursing a near death Vratix back to help after an attempted kidnapping. Jinko gave his best in academics and kept his body like a temple with a strict workout routine. He did not spend much time with siblings unless it was to patch them up. His lack of interest in other people began to make him slightly introverted and led to a decline in his bedside manner. To this day it is something he works hard at yet never seems to improve.

Kidnapping Attempt

During Year 12 Day 188, Jinko was traveling with his family to an event in the Capital from their small chateau. Extremists comprised of Human and Vratix attacked them in hopes of getting a hefty ransom from Jinko's family wealth. The attack was turned away by a 14 year old Jinko and the family guard. Jinko managed to shoot down two of the Vratix himself. Upon seeing the results of his handiwork, tears streaming from his face, he swore off weapons on the spot. He immediately began to treat the would be kidnappers with medical attention and saved two of them from death. The house guard's personal respect grew, especially that of the Man-at-Arms Valendrin, after the 14 year old saved his arm from amputation, and him from an early retirement.

Valendrin's Tuteledge

Valendrin Trastup, the Man-at-Arm's for the Blixto Family, was very impressed with the young man and asked his father if it would be acceptable to teach the boy skill with arms. Jinko's father was a pacifist but the kidnapping attempt shook him so he acceded to the request. After a chat with Jinko about the importance of pacifism, and the family stance on it, he bade the boy to go and learn as much as he could. Jinko was a quick study with a physique matching his mind. Valendrin was a ruthless but fair task master. He would often regale Jinko with his time in the ISB and how knowledge wins more wars than strength of arms. He would often say "Boy, knowledge is power" and "Emperor Seele was an intelligence officer before he was Emperor, one of us he was" after a few drinks. He would talk into the wee hours about the missions he was allowed to speak of. He would focus on the humanity of his contacts and how small things can sway negotiations. He said he once staved off a war by simply making sure that the ruler saw some compromising photos Valendrin had "gathered". Jinko loved this time of his life and to this day still follows Valendrins work out regimen. He attributes his time with Valendrin as the main reason he went to the Imperial Academy. He promised Valendrin he would transfer to ISB when able and do him proud. Valendrin passed on Year 17, Jinko paid for the entire funeral himself and commissioned a statue in the garden commemorating his service. Unfortunately this led to Jinko's dark years.

A Falling Out

Upon finding out about the statue commissioned, Jinko's father halted the sale. Jealous of the relationship shared by Jinko and Valendrin, he did this without Jinko's knowledge. Jinko confronted his father about the situation and discovered his father wanted none of Jinko's "military nonsense" at the chateau. A row ensued with the result being Jinko leaving the chateau for a prestigious medical school in the Capital. Jinko would eventually make up with his father but not until graduation. Jinko was a closed book in medical school, maintaining a training regimen and studying like a man possessed. He spent his time with the menial's and the campus guards while shunning his fellow classmates who he believed were out of touch with the common Thyferran. He spent most of his off time with the campus gray hairs listening and learning to Galactic History told from those that lived it. He found people his own age harder to abide and the old grey hairs called him "The Young Geriatric" to much laughter and smiles.

Exposing Traitors

The first year of medical school was fairly routine in Jinko found himself lost in his studies with very little time to explore or hang out with his acquaintances. Around the middle of the second year of medical school he found himself with a bit of free time so he took to jogging around the campus. He had a fairly strict routine and was a bit of a night owl so he would often jog in the wee hours of the morning if he had a late course the next day. He noticed some things when he jogged on a few particular nights of the week. He remembered what Valendrin had said about coincidence. "Boy. Believing in too many coincidences can get you killed." So with that thought in mind he decided to do a little bit of surveillance. The old man had taught him some tricks about how to place oneself in the shadows and not be seen as well as some simple ways to tell if he was being tailed. Jinko try to put as much of his limited learning into action. What he discovered troubled him in many ways, the least of which was, he didn't know how to handle it. Despite the abundance of Bacta up on the world there was still an underground trade of it. He had heard from his menial acquaintances that for the right price a man could get his hands on virtually anything. Living a sheltered life Jinko had never really experienced a need but he believed them. He was now witnessing it in action and he came up with a plan. Over the course of several weeks he documented the comings and goings as well as identities of the perpetrators. What he found disturbed him and scared him. All of the perpetrators were Sons and Daughters of powerful Thyferrans. He determined that even if he were to submit the evidence to the local Magistrate his family would face reprisal. That reprisal may even have been violent as among the back door that they were smuggling out of the campus they were also funneling weapons and explosives. Never one to act hastily, Jinko thought of a plan. Not a complicated plan and laughably easy but the hard part would be to remain hidden after the evidence was inevitably followed back to the campus. Valendrin often spoke of his old friends and had let Jinko know a number to call " if you get your little we arse pinched". With no idea what to expect Jinko called the number. After many minutes of talking to the other person in which most of the time was spent exchanging counter signs and making small talk while the other person checked the code. Once the identity was verified the man on the other end of the line was more than happy to help and he guaranteed that none of the evidence would come back to Jinko. He said that the only drawback would be that no one would ever know therefore he could never claim it as an achievement out in the world. Jinko laughed and said one of Valendrins gems of knowledge "There is no glory in the shadows." Approximately a month later there was news of a major terrorist ring being brought down in the Capital on Thyferra. Those that wielded the highest power were able to shield their children from retribution, but more than a few saw an execution that day. Jinko watched the executions from the front row with "Traitors get the gallows" ringing through his head.

Military Career

Jinko is currently enrolled for Imperial Training on Prakith. He has tackled his training head on and awaits his placement.
