Hatori Hoorl (born Year -12, Day 25) is a Coruscanti male born on Coruscant. He is a citizen of the Galactic Empire, and is currently service as the Adjutant for the Corporate Oversector. Prior to that, he had recently retired as a Rear Admiral (C-2) in the Imperial Navy. Prior to his retirement, he was the Group Commanding Officer for the 9th Group for approximately 2 weeks, one of two such groups in the 1st Imperial Fleet. Additionally, he served for approximately 6 months as a Recruitment Officer with the Imperial Centre of Recruitment, and also for 8 months as the Group Commanding Officer of the 13th Group.

Family and Early Life

Hatori was born on Coruscant to Sh'ron Hoorl (née Homai), a hospital nurse, and Gro'wi Hoorl (d. Y5), an Imperial Navy Lieutenant. Born into the aristocratic house of Hoorl, Hatori was raised on level 4257, in the "Aristocracy Zone" of the North-Western quadrant of the planet. His father, a staunch supporter of the Galactic Empire, ensured that Hatori attended the Coruscant Military Academy starting at age 10. Hatori quickly rose through the cadet ranks and was eventually ranked in the top 10% of the academy, a percentage needed in order to enter the Imperial Academy proper.

Hatori's father was killed in action on Year 5, Day 112, during a routine patrol in an outlying Imperial system. Hatori was 17 years old at the time, and was effected greatly by his father's passing. Instead of sinking into a depression, Hatori used the situation to focus fully on graduating from the academy. He finally graduated from the Coruscant Military Academy on Year 6, Day 183, at age 18. During this time Hatori would meet his future wife, Sco'is Lisac, and subsequently place his plans to join the Empire on hold. To his aristocratic family, this decision was seen as an embarrassment, and his mother Sh'ron ensured that Hatori's inheritance was revoked, and his claim to aristocracy removed permanently.

Owing to his aristocratic heritage, however, Hatori took pride in ensuring that his courting of his future bride went according to Coruscanti tradition. After one full year of formal courtship, Hatori became engaged to Scois in Year 7, and married her in Year 8. Another year later, and his son Ju'de Hoorl was born on Year 9, Day 117. It was during these formative years for his new family, that Hatori bounced around between several factions in an effort to provide for them. He finally applied to the Imperial Military Academy in early Year 13.

Military Career

Tragedy

Hatori was finally accepted into the Imperial Military on Year 13, Day 100, and subsequently graduated from the Imperial Academy on Year 13, Day 102 and given the rank of Crewman. During his time at the Academy he was trained by then Lieutenant Commander Serena Moon. Hatori served for approximately two and a half months of active duty before tragedy struck, and Hatori returned to Coruscant. On Year 13, Day 183, Hatori received the news that his mother and the rest of his extended family had been killed in a rebel attack in the Naboo System. In addition to his mother, a total of 400 passengers were killed while riding aboard a luxury liner heading from Naboo to Coruscant. Hatori had conflicting emotions between duty to his family and duty to the Empire, and subsequently filed paperwork two days later for immediate placement into the Naval Reserves. He returned to Coruscant and sank into a deep depression for several years, attempting to rebuild the family domain as best he could. Subsequently, Scois left Hatori during this time and brought Ju'de to her ancestral home on Mandalore.

Interim Period

During this time, Hatori remained on limited duty within the Imperial Navy Reserves, working mostly in shuttling personnel between locations. He did, however, take the opportunity to attend Officer Training School, and worked slowly towards gaining a commission within His Majesty's Imperial Navy. Additionally, between stints ferrying personnel, Hatori took some extended leave and was able to reunite his family and Scois returned to him on Coruscant, bringing Ju'de as well.

Return to Service

After several years, Hatori finally decided again to answer the call of duty and returned to active service on Year 17, Day 42. During his second tenure at the Imperial Academy, Hatori was trained by none other than then Administrator Angelus Devaron. He subsequently graduated, again, from the Imperial Academy with a passing score of 94%, on Year 17, Day 55. Upon graduation from the Academy, he was finally commissioned as an officer and promoted to the rank of Ensign and assigned to his first unit. Hatori took great pride in being given an officers rank, as his own father had been an officer before his untimely death.

Over the next year, Hatori rose through the ranks, and was awarded several times for his service to the Navy and the Empire. Finally, after attaining the rank of Lieutenant Commander, and believing he met the minimum criteria, Hatori applied for the then-vacated 1st Imperial Fleet Signals Officer position. On Year 18, Day 59, Hatori was informed that he had been chosen as the next Fleet Signals Officer for the fleet. He was promoted two weeks later to the rank of Commodore, and continued to serve in that position until Year 18, Day 74, when his application for Group Commanding Officer of the 11th Assault Group was accepted, and he was given the position.

Hatori continued to serve as Group Commanding Officer of the 11th Group until its dissolution as a unit, and reformat into the 13th Recon Group. He remained in that position until Year 18, Day 322, when he transferred from the 13th Recon Group to the 9th Heavy Assault Group. It was at this time that Hatori realized his commitment to his unit was unsatisfactory, and on Year 18, Day 334, he retired from Imperial Service.

Retirement

During his years of retirement, Hatori first went to work for a private corporation known as Chimaera Consulting, where he took a position in their Operations department. Eventually, Hatori moved on from that position and worked for a time for The Faerytale Family, who at the time had not yet became a member of the Imperial Union. He then moved on to another faction, and worked briefly for BlasTech Industries. Finally, he sought work again within Chimaera Consulting, this time as the Deputy Director of Operations. It was around this time that, as most Imperials tend to do, Imperial Service called him back into action.

Return Home

On Year 20, Day 211, Hatori was accepted back into the Empire and given the temporary rank of Captain within the Imperial Navy. Deciding to change his career path, Hatori transferred branches into Regional Government. He was quickly assigned a post within the Amber Region under Grand Moff Nikolaus Ephranor as an Assistant Governor. After serving in that post for several months, Hatori was appointed as the Adjutant for the Corporate Oversector, a change which brought Hatori hope that he could have a greater and more direct impact on the Empire.
